Luke Masson Hyperdimension Neptunia was released on the same day as Ar Tonelico Qoga and like Ar Tonelico also received a collectible preorder bonus, the Hyperdimension Neptunia Artbook.
Available through EB Games as a pre-order bonus exclusive, the Hyperdimension Neptunia Artbook features 36-pages of illustrations and design works.
The Hyperdimension Neptunia Artbook is printed on glossy paper and measures the size of a PlayStation 3 game. The Artbook is a slimmed version of the 42-page Hardcover Artbook available in the Hyperdimension Neptunia Premium Box Set (no longer available).
Inside you’ll find character illustrations in full color with their catchphrase and a short description of each of the main cast.
Illustrations of the Processor Units, Costumes, Weapons/Guns are included in the game as well as location sketches and character sketches (in color and black-and-white). The Hyperdimension Neptunia Artbook offers an insight into the design process with Scribble drawings located on the last page.
Artbooks have always been a favorite inclusion for RPG fans providing detailed artwork and designs highlighting the process of creating much-loved characters from a series.
The Hyperdimension Neptunia Artbook was only available to those that pre-ordered the game and given the NIS America store offered a Premium Edition, not many Australian gamers chose to adopt the localized release making the artbook that much more scarce.
